How do you discover and tell a story from the past? This work consists of photographs and a text piece, all based on the finding of an archival image from Känsö Island, outside Gothenburg, a military controlled area where old quarantine buildnings from the 19th Century are placed. Coincidences and a search for the real are two ingrediences of this work, which was presented in an exhibition as a part of the conference Counterpoints - Re-imagining, re-imaging archival images, a collaboration between HDK-Valand and Film i Väst in May, 2019. In 2021 it was also selected by a jury to take part in GIBCA Extended, in the group show Comforting the machine at 3:e Våningen Gallery in Gothenburg.
